Since time immemorial man has been investing his efforts and happieness in voyage. so we are pleased to share our voyage experiences across the waters of kerala. A huge vessel used to transport cargo and passengers across the water way in kerala what we call house boats in these days were once known as kettuvallom or kevuvallom exclusively fashioned out of wild jack. It was well known for its higher load carring capacity. As kerala has a unique landscape with back waters lagoons and abundance of water body, the 'kevuvallom' played a key role in reinforcing the economy of kerala in the middle era. Gradually the reputation disappeared when trucks came into play of cargo moving it is now being used as 'house boats' for tourists round the globe.
The hull of the boat is comprised a series of wooden plants gathered from wild jack only by the experts. These wooden planks are tied together with coconut fibers with the same is placed in between . The surface tension is reduced by meams of oils like shark oil, mackrel oil which is pasted under vessel it reduces the friction and ensures comfortable voyage experience. These vessels can be made of standards from 40ft ,10ft upto 125, 25ft, . These gigantic figures transport occupy and as thousands of tones with lesser effort. House boats can be made of wood, fibure and steel facilities. A tipical house boat can provide bed rooms attached toileteries , living area , and an upper deck and surley a kitchen. A luxurious house boat compramises a spacious bathroom with toilet facilites, bed room with luxurious facilities and a wide deck besides conference hall and broad drawing rooms, swimmingpool and many more.
